Directions:  Take U.S. 13 (The Lankford Highway) to VA Rt 184
at traffic light between mile post 79 and 80.  This is just south
of Hardees and just north of McDonalds at a railroad track
level crossing.  This is about 9 miles north of the bay bridge
 tunnel.  Head west on VA Rt 184 into the village.  At Fig St,
leave Rt 184 by continuing straight on Randolph Ave.  Continue
0.7 miles on Randolph Ave to T intersection at Bay Ave. 
 Launch is straight ahead.

Launch faces west into the Chesapeake.  Launch area is 0.5 miles
long along Bay Ave.  Towards the south end of the launch area is
a pier, and to the north are lots of rock erosion barriers. 

Best Wind Directions:  N, NW, W, SW and S

Fees:  None

Amenities: trash barrels, benches, restroom at south end

Comments:  sandy bottom, shallow well out, thus you need to
carry your gear to reach deeper water.  I found fewer physical o
bstructions in the water than at Kiptopeke. 

Regulations:  The usual, no glass, no alcohol, no overnight
camping, no walking on beach grass, no fires ...
