Launch faces West into Barnegat bay

Best Wind Directions:  N, NW, W, SW and S

Fees:  Between mid June and Labor day, Lavallette requires a beach badge
for bathers.  It is unclear whether this too pertains to windsurfers in
Barnegat bay.  Please check the Lavallette Beach Information Website
regarding this as rules may change over time.

Hazards:  Beware of boat traffic in the channel

Notes:  Launch is beginner friendly.  Bay is shallow, even way out.  Best
to bring a weed fin as the water can get weedy.

Additional Notes by Felix Cabrera circa 1990: The bay is very shallow - if you
sail a mile or two out, if you're not in a boat channel, you can probably stand.
Beware of boat traffic in channels."
