Long Pond#

Directions:  Long Pond is located in northern Greece.  The launch is on Edgemere Drive. 
Launch is near the intersection of NY 390 (outer loop) and the Lake Ontario State Parkway. 
From this intersection, head west a short distance on the Lake Ontario State Parkway,
and take the first exit for Long Pond Road.  At the end of the exit ramp, turn right so
you are heading north on Long Pond Road.  Drive a short distance to an end and turn
left so you are heading east on Edgemere Drive.  Park on the left side of the road
(south side) upon seeing Long Pond.

Amenities:  None
Best Wind Directions:  SW, S
Hazards:  sharp rocks at launch area, water may be shallow in places
Regulations: no overnight parking, no parking on other side (north side) of Edgemere Drive
Comments:  launch is great for beginners as the water is shallow,
the waves never get too big, and you are always close to land,
kiters are known to use this launch
