Directions:  Take Garden State Parkway to exit 82.  Get on NJ Rt 37
East and travel 6.7 miles over the bridge onto LBI and to a fork.
At the fork, bear right onto NJ Rt 35 South Seaside Park Central Ave.
About 1 mile past fork, you will see a 7-11 on your right at M St.
At about H St, turn right and travel west to N Bayview Ave.  Turn
left on N Bayview Ave and head south along the shore of Barnegat
bay.  You can launch virtually anywhere south of H St.

Explanation:  Seaside Park is a municipality and is not an actual
park.  However, along N and S Bayview Ave, much of the shoreline
is public and thus accessible and launchable.

FEES:  Although they require beach badges for bathers in the mid
June to Labor day time frame, it is not clear whether this applies
to windsurfers.  To be sure, and to check for the current rules
regarding this, go to the Seaside Park website.

Launches face West into Barnegat bay.

Best Wind Directions:  N, NW, W, SW, S

Other Notes:  Beach area can be crowded on hot summer afternoons
when the sea breezes kick in.  Bay is shallow.  You may be able to
stand one mile out.  Weed fins are essential in the summer.  Summer
thermals (sea breezes) are common.  Oceanside works well on S
or SW winds.  Launch is good for beginners

Hazards:  be aware of boats in boat channel

Additional Notes by Felix Cabrera circa 1990: "The beach area
gets crowded when conditions are good.  The bay is very shallow
- if you sail a mile or two out, if you're not in a boat channel,
you can probably stand.  Weed fin [is] essential in summer.
Summer thermals are common.  Oceanside is excellent on SW & S.
Beware of boat traffic in the channels."
