The venue faces west into the bay and is often used by Kiteboarders.

Driving Directions: The park is accessible by taking US Route 50 over
bay bridge and getting off on first exit on Kent island, (exit 37) to
Route 8 in Stevensville. At end of exit ramp at traffic light, turn left
and travel 0.3 miles North on Rt 8 to a traffic light.  At this traffic light,
turn left onto Skipjack Parkway.  Travel 0.15 miles to a stop sign and
turn left onto Log Canoe Circle.  Travel 0.3 miles and turn left into
Terrapin Nature Area.

To get from the parking lot to the launch requires a 1/3 mile (1700 ft)
walk.  Thus, it is absolutely necessary to bring a cart to wheel your
gear to and from the beach.

To get to the beach, proceed on the Cross Island Trail from the parking lot.

The launch is spacious and is frequented by Kiteboarders, so try not to
get in their way, they need lots of space.  Site faces west, so any wind
direction with a West in it is good.
